The primary missions will let the players see a large portion of the island but there will also be a bunch of side missions and boss fights comparable to the ones we've seen in the Borderlands games. Redfall is described as an open-world affair comparable to Borderlands and Breath of the Wild, with a map similar in size to those in Fallout 76 or Ghost of Tsushima. The person who leaked the images also shared a description of Redfall, although their summary bears some inconsistencies with the facts Bethesda officially shared with the rest of the class. Little and less has been shared about Redfall since then but a batch of screenshots did recently pop up across the internet, and the beast is pleased. Was announced during the studio's E3 2021 showcase in June.

Redfall will be released for PC, Xbox Series X, and Series S around mid-2022 and if you have Xbox Game Pass you will have the joy of playing from the day of launch. So for now we can look past the rudimentary graphics in these screenshots and the other bits of questionables, but only for now. Redfall is described as an open-world affair comparable to Borderlands and Breath of the Wild, with a map similar in size to those in Fallout 76 or Ghost. Since Redfall was only announced in mid-June this year, it’s safe to say that these leaks are still from really early development (despite this game technically being in the works since roughly August 2017). The person who leaked the images also shared a description of Redfall, although their summary bears some inconsistencies with the facts Bethesda officially shared with the rest of the class. We can also see an NPC or two which leads to us thinking that there is a general population that you can interact with who will not be trying to rip you apart in one way or another (hopefully). The other currency could be for what seems to be an in-game store and yes, it is highly likely that there will be microtransactions. We can also see icons that are presumably for the currency that we will be using on the island of Redfall, namely “Scrap” which of course you will be able to dismantle certain items as one way to earn this. Players will also be able to carry bandages, keys, lockpicks, and wire cutters.

You can note from the screenshots that players will have (or at least at this point) three weaponry slots, an armour slot, a slot for both a medkit and memento respectively, and a slot for remnants. Weapons (which could also require certain levels to use) revealed in the leak include the UV Beam M01, Stake Launcher M02, “Hammer” (a handgun), and Heat Civilian M01 (assault rifle). Weapons, skills, and missions will also have various tiers bearing much resemblance to other Arkane titles. Things like there will be six playable characters (each with three abilities) instead of just the four characters from the reveal trailer, as well as an XP earning system for which you can take on missions, slaughter enemies (both human and vampire), and slay bosses to earn said XP.Īs previously mentioned, it will be an open-world game, and thanks to the leak we can now also expect this open-world to have gameplay reminiscent of Borderlands and ability styles somewhat akin to Dishonoured. Since our last article in July, a few minor detail updates were brought to light through this leak. The post included brief snips of info and screenshots of the playtest, inclusive of a peek at some debugging tools and developer testing. However, thanks to a fellow anonymous Redditor we were graced with a few leaked snapshots and titbits of info unfortunately, not long after the post was made it ended up being deleted, but not before a few of us could sink our teeth into it. So it’s been a short while since we’ve really had anything more on Arkane Studios’ upcoming title, Redfall since the official reveal at E3 2021. Redditor comes to the rescue with a few image & info leaks for the upcoming title, Redfall.
